Jack

Jacks are the suppliers, distributors, and market architects within the Myriad Criminal Syndicate, a sprawling and secretive criminal organization known for its complex hierarchy and ruthless efficiency. Operating under the direct orders of their sect leader, faction head, and ultimately the Ruler, Jacks play a crucial role in controlling the flow of illicit goods, services, and vice that sustain the Syndicate’s economy.   Under the direct orders of their sect leader, faction head, and ultimately the Ruler, they maintain the Syndicate’s supply chains and profit engines, ensuring that money, leverage, and resources are always moving where they are needed most. Jacks report directly to their immediate superiors and execute high-priority economic operations that determine which ventures thrive and which collapse. Their roles grant them quiet but far-reaching influence, making them critical to the Myriad’s stability and expansion.   Unlike more visible roles, Jacks rarely involve themselves directly in violence. Their power lies in infrastructure, access, and dependency. A Jack does not threaten—they cut off supply. Within the Syndicate, this makes them both indispensable and deeply feared.   There are two distinct categories of Jacks, each with specialized roles and functions.
Operator   Role: Operators oversee Syndicate-controlled venues and events that generate revenue, influence, and information. These include gambling rings, fight clubs, nightclubs, brothels, and other high-risk entertainment establishments.   Operators ensure these operations remain profitable, discreet, and insulated from scrutiny. Their venues frequently function as social hubs where debts are formed, alliances are tested, and vulnerabilities are exposed.   Skills and Abilities: Operators excel in social manipulation, risk management, and behavioral control. They read crowds, identify high-value patrons, and steer situations toward profitable outcomes without overt coercion.   Their success depends on subtlety. A skilled Operator ensures patrons never realize how deeply entangled they have become until escape is no longer possible.   Equipment: Operators rely on layered surveillance systems, secure transaction platforms, hidden vaults, and discreet security measures. Venues are designed with controlled access points, soundproofed rooms, and concealed exits.
Distributor   Role: Distributors manage the acquisition, production, transport, and distribution of physical goods within Syndicate territory. This includes narcotics, counterfeit currency and documents, prostitution networks, trafficked items, illegal weapons, and restricted materials.   They operate through extensive networks of intermediaries, couriers, and rotating storage sites, ensuring no single failure compromises the entire chain.   Skills and Abilities: Distributors specialize in logistics coordination, route optimization, falsified documentation, supply forecasting, and loss mitigation. Many possess technical expertise related to manufacturing, chemistry, or weapons systems.   Efficiency and discretion define their work. A Distributor who attracts attention has already failed.   Equipment: Distributors utilize modular transport vehicles, rotating warehouses, counterfeit seals, encrypted tracking systems, and disposable communication channels. Decoy shipments and sacrificial intermediaries are common.
Duties and Responsibilities   General Responsibilities Jacks ensure Syndicate markets remain stable, profitable, and adaptable. They establish new revenue streams, expand existing operations, and quietly dismantle ventures that become liabilities.   Operators maintain venue discipline and patron compliance through debt, access restriction, and reputational damage. Distributors guarantee uninterrupted access to goods critical to Syndicate influence.   A Jack builds their legacy through continuity. While they enjoy autonomy, repeated failure results in asset seizure, reassignment, or removal.
Within the Myriad Criminal Syndicate, Jacks occupy a foundational position. Operations cannot proceed without supply, and influence cannot spread without infrastructure. Their control over access grants them leverage across all formations.
Successful Jacks are rarely visible. Their names exist in ledgers and routes rather than rumor.   Without Jacks, the Syndicate starves. With them, it endures.
