Aarten (Ar - Ten)
The City of Aarten is a ghost of its former self. This city surrounded by large wooded walls once boasted a population of around 20,000 denizens, but now their is believed to be less than 5,000. Built on the border of the Hushed Oaks, it is thought that the city was cursed as its structures are built by wood wrest from the sacred forest. However, this is most likely attributed to The Holy Cleansing and the amount that died during this time within and near the Hushed Oaks. This provided an untold amount of nourishment to the Shade Blights that called the area their home. Now the wooded area is overrun and the city lies in constant terror from the creatures that lurk just outside their walls.
