Paradise Gate
The capital of Khemkavan, Paradise Gate is the welcoming site of the continent, if traveling by sea. Visitors to the city are welcomed by two tall spires, each with bright shades of red, gold, and purple. A lone statue sits in the middle of the bay, one of the many shrines erected to Khem Atmimokshan(Deity)]
The surrounding sides of the river are dotted with farms and fields, all in the pursuit of agriculture. Despite being the capital of Khemkavan, one would be underwhelmed after leaving the city center. The ostentatious architecture of the buildings is localized, as the rest are modest in build. Aside from occasional obelisks to Khem, the city bears resemblance to a large farming complex.
If visiting the city, one may find great interest in attending the daily rituals to their patron god. All are welcome to view, in the inclusive spirit of their lord. The complex prayers and chants that the priests perform, with the help of their undead servitors, are truly a sight to behold.
"Ever seen a zombie in robes anoint a barely clad woman, and then send them up a mountain to 'be with their god'? If you haven't, then I can tell you've never been to Paradise Gate." -Vestratan man on the rituals of KhemkavanHospitality in the city is another great feature, with various small homes converted to hostels. These personal abodes are either rented to travelers, or function as staffed establishments. Some use the multitude of undead that are present throughout the city, while others refrain, as to not disturb guests of offended cultures.
