Roaring Plains

The central grasslands of Vesperia are prime territory for more restless folk such as the nomadic centaurs and gnolls. Anchoring the region are a handful of settlements, ranches, and remote homesteads built by various other races. Most of the Freeholds are scattered across these prairies.
The namesake of the Roaring Plains is its fearsome weather. Tornados and gales periodically rip through the land during late summer to mid-autumn, and even during other months, the wind can be powerful.

Geography

The Roaring Plains are an expanse of mostly flat prairie, stretching roughly from the Veritas River in the east to the foothills of the Dragonspires in the west, and from the Gulf of Serpents and Mirovian Ocean in the south to the Frostpines and tundra in the north. Being mostly landlocked, the region experiences hot summers and freezing winters, with fierce winds and tornados in between. Nonetheless, it is also good grazing land, and there are scattered veins of valuable ores that make it a tempting place to prospect.
