First Light

A weapon of divine authority, First Light is a glaive-spear wrought entirely in gold. Its head rises in a teardrop frame of swept metal, within which a radiant sunburst blazes at the center, flanked by twin crescent moons. A sharp, leaf-shaped point crowns the apex, and the base of the head descends into a collar of sculpted symmetry. The shaft is smooth, polished gold, and the grip at its base is wound in a tight, twisted cord. The entire weapon radiates warmth, not of heat, but of presence; the kind that fills a room before a word is spoken. A divine gift of the Angels, bestowed upon Arion upon his ascension to High-Commander. All who bear that rank receive such a weapon, but First Light stands as both symbol and burden; radiant authority forged to lead, to judge, and, when necessary, to burn. Its presence alone reminds soldiers and sovereigns alike that light answers to higher law.
