Personal history
Irith was born to a wealthy noble and his wife in Crestfall. Irith's parents were murdered by an evildoer while he was young, though he remembers them fondly. He wished to avenge them and protect others from such a fate, so he decided to pursue a career as a paladin. Irith's paladin training did not go well. There was no lack of devotion or enthusiasm, however his fairly easy life as the son of a noble meant that he was ill-adjusted to the training, particularly the physical elements, and he eventually dropped out. Irith found during his training that his talents were far better used on theoretical learning, through the use of books. This revelation prompted him to pursue knowledge, and he eventually decided to devote himself to Runethares. After he left he also "borrowed" a book on martial techniques to continue his learning. (This was later returned to it's proper owners once it had been memorised.) Irith eventually moved away from Crestfall and, through a series of unexpected events, found himself living within the wall. Upon discovering the watch wall's watchmen (and watchwomen) Irith was filled with hope, the gods had given him another chance to prove himself and protect the people of the world from evil.
