Exotic Pet Marketplace

The Exotic Pet Marketplace is a bustling area of trade found in Highfall, Steton. Here, merchants are looking to sell various creatures and monsters only to the most worthy of adventurers who are able to train and command them.

Purchasing an Exotic Pet

Exotic pets require a certain prestige and sometimes certain tier to be purchased, trained, and commanded.
Exotic pets have a set cost dependent on their prestige requirement. Those costs and the current list of exotic pets available can be seen further below.
If you wish to purchase a pet from the Exotic Pet Marketplace, you must use a shopping downtime day. When you purchase an exotic pet through a shopping downtime day, you MUST also ping @pets in #trading-log-and-consumables to confirm the purchase.

You can only own an amount of exotic pets up to a cap equal to your Prestige #. You can only have 1 exotic pet accompany you on a mission.

Exotic Pet Taming

Taming costs per downtime day for Exotic Pets:

The amount of downtime days needed to tame an exotic pet can be reduced by:

-1	Follower of the Green Pantheon, Proficiency in Animal Handling
-2	Archfey Warlock, Cavalier Fighter, Linnorm Sorcerer, Nature Domain Cleric, Oath of Ancients Paladin, Oath of the Linnorms Paladin, Totem Warrior Barbarian
-3	Expertise in Animal Handling, Ranger
-4	Beast Conclave Ranger, Druid, Scalecaller Conclave Ranger
-5	Shepard Druid

If you have any of these characteristics, you take only the highest reduction amount. You can't reduce the amount of taming days needed down to zero, the minimum is 1.
When you put downtime days towards taming a exotic pet, you MUST also ping @pets in #trading-log-and-consumables to confirm and track the amount of days submitted and the amount of gold spent.

Restrictions in Trading Exotic Pets

If you trade an exotic pet to someone who has a lower prestige than the pet requires, then the pet will not take any commands from their new owner, even if previously trained, and they can not be brought on missions or RP events until their new owner meets the prestige requirement.
