Upton
Welcome to Upton!
The only town in all of Versalis!
Just don't let the locals disturb you... and avoid the back alleys.
Demographics
The population of Upton consists entirely of Faceless Humans. The equivalent of the masses of NPCs in any campaign. They have no lives, no backstory. They flow in and out of existence to facilitate the facade of being a populated and pleasant township.
Architecture
Taking a stroll down the paved and maintained streets, one finds the buildings give off an 'Anytown, USA' vibe.
Brick and mortar stores. Clean sidewalks lined with healthy, shady trees. The tallest thing being the clock town at three stories.
Geography
Upton lies just off from the geographical center of Versalis, closer to the beach. The town is surrounded by grass plains on all sides.
Four paths of packed dirt and earth venture outwards from Upton. To the north and south, they lead off and right up to the edges of the world. To the east, the road carries travelers to the beach. And going west, the trail leads into the forest, and eventually up to the house of Jim Vox.
The Faceless Humans that occupy Upton have a unique feature in that their features are indiscernible. You cannot see their details from afar. And upon moving face-to-face, their visage is obscured and blurred. They will never pose any opposition to foreigners and won't meddle in affairs. Their purpose is to 'live' in the town.
