Since long before the First End, there have been resilient civilizations residing in Nokþor. They live relatively isolated from the rest of the world, using the gift of magic to bear the vicious climate.

Survival

The modern Nokþorans have a much more difficult landscape to survive in than those of ancient times. Islands move in erratic, unpredictable ways. The localization of magical energy has caused the complete breakdown of weather patterns; blizzards can come at any time and Magical Tempests can be especially deadly.

During the Tempest Night, fire magic is used by all to keep their communities alight, especially around the outskirts to protect against any wildlife.

Small villages are often build in the wake of large cliffs or mountains. The faces of these landmarks can be dug into, allowing expansion of the village as well as further protection. Its within these caves that food and supplies are often stored.

They often wear many layers of clothes if exploration or trade is necessary. In fact, trade of clothes is the most common form for the Nokþorans, as they have very few means of making clothes that are protective enough. In return, they offer local animals that have been caught or slaughtered.

Their culture prides themselves on their ability to bear the eternally-harsh conditions of the North, and they only ever accept clothes from other nations; very few will accept food or technology.

Gender Ideals

Gender, not unlike Romseþirn, is an ongoing exploration for Nokþorans. However, they do not have so much of a focus on it when it comes to Rites of Life, rather, adolescents are welcomed to adulthood in a hunt of Drazanokþor. Exploration of one's gender may continue for several years, a much less common thing in other nations.

Relationship Ideals

Nokþorans usually have very commited relationships, and mating is very encouraged, especially in lower-population villages. However, this notion often dwindles during difficult times.
