Helacium
AKA: The Golden Nation
Type: country
Government: Theocracy
Leaders: Current Emissary: Eliseus Valerius, Members of Helacium's Senate
Location: Northwestern Verna, west of Frosia and Emythia
Known For: Wealth, Golden Spires, Divine Might
People: Faithful, devout, wise, industrious, proud, pessimistic, ambitious
"Divinity and knowledge have always walked hand in hand." —Helacian Saint
Home to the planet's only golden deserts, the wealthy nation of Helacium is ruled by an emissary and his senate, all of whom are advised by Helacium's many Diviners. The Diviners are a group of powerful individuals who use Halcyon Pearls to channel the powers of the gods themselves. Helacium's Halcyon Pearl was discovered a thousand years ago at the end of The Second Age of Cataclysm and it has greatly contributed to their nation's success and prosperity. The Helacians quickly began utilizing the powers of the Halcyon Pearl, using these new found powers to raise their nation from the ashes of the war.
Now, the golden sands of Helacium are littered with enormous white marble structures and massive temples dedicated to the gods, where countless followers go to worship. However, many people only do so in the hopes of gaining a piece of the gods' divine power, while some even claim that power for themselves.
Helacium remains strong with military forces and a vast economy due to their large supply of Halcyon Pearls. However, despite this wealth and power, the people of Helacium have a long history of political corruption.
