Government
Oligarchy: Khur Lodahr is ruled by the Goldenzxe Clan, it's current leader Brumdal. The king is advised by the council of clan elders from the 6 Elder Dwarven Clans: Fissurefisher, Hammerdashers, Leadbelly, Ashenbeards, Greystones & Honeywhiskey clans. This ruling body is in charge of passing all laws under the mountain.
Defences
Due to the geographical location of the city, the mountains offer nature protection from invaders, however there are 3 smaller villages located at the base of the mountain range that lead into the mountain. Each Village has a small contingent of soldiers that protect the villages. The entrances to the mountains are said to have large gates that can close of the tunnels to assailants.
Industry & Trade
Khur Lodahr mainly barters with forged weapons & armor, precious gemstones and rare metals for perishables, livestock, food items and other products not readily found on the mountain.
Infrastructure
Khur Lodahr is built into and upon the Mithilfjell Mountains. The Throne room sits atop a plateau built into the rock face that is seemingly inaccessible from outside the mountain. The tunnels within the mountain stretch out for miles beneath and lead to several smaller settlements with the mountain range, including the volcano known as the Dragon's Maw.
Tourism
Very few common folk of non-dwarven lineage are permitted within the city limits, more common folk stay in the villages based on the foot of moutains. More often than not if you find yourself within the walls of Khur Lodahr, you are there on important business, a royal from another kingdom, or a war criminal about to be tried.
Architecture
Khur Lodahr is one of the oldest cities in the kingdom. Not much has changed since the city was first built as the dwarfs try their best to preserve it's original look. Walls and ceilings are seamless as the time of buildings were dug out from solid stone. Massive columns and support beams made of metal and stone work to support any week points in the ceiling above while showing off the beautiful craftsmanship of the dwarvish ancestors.
