Ithildoral

One would be loath to enter the Mist wood forest with ill intent. For hidden above the forest floor the wood elves keep a watchful eye on their kingdom's border.

Culture

The people of Ithildoral are at one with nature. They prefer to forage and hunt for anything they need, and punish those who would take the forest's bounty for granted.

History

When the Alfar who left Maldoral learned of the great tree's destruction they became distraught. They believed they had failed in their duty to protect the world tree, and so they prayed to Valanir for forgiveness. It is said that as they traveled South East from Maldoral, they came across a single Silverwood tree. The tree itself was dying, however hanging from it's branches was a single acorn. The Alfar took this as a sign from Valanir and took the seed from the tree's branches. They planted it in the most fertile soil they could find and watered it with the purest water blessed by their priests. It was under the light of the full moon that the Alfar noticed a change. Within moments not only one tree grew from the seed, but an entire forest sprang to life around them. There acorn grew into a new world tree, surrounded by a forest of mighty amberwoods. In honor of the moon goddess the Alfar named the tree Ithildrasyl, and vowed to serve and protect nature. And thus the kingdom of Ithildoral was born.

Military

The primary military force of the kingdom of Ilthildoral are the Wardens. The Wardens are elite warriors skilled in archery and light melee weapons. They utilize guerrilla tactics to hinder any trespassers that would dare invade their homeland.

Religion

The Verdant Circle is the chief religion of Ilthildoral. This religion holds absolute power in this theocratic kingdom.

Foreign Relations

Ithildoral is part of the Northern Kingdoms accord and so enjoys a measure of peace with it's neighbors. While they are a reclusive kingdom they are known to welcome outsiders within their borders so long as they stay under the watchful eye of the wardens. To stimulate the economy Ithildoral will sell hunting licences to nobility from other kingdoms.

Agriculture & Industry

The Mistwood forest provides an abundance of fruits and vegetables to it's people, often more then they need. After a bountiful harvest Ithildoral will export their surplus to neighboring kingdoms.

Education

Ithiladari children are well educated in the ways of the Verdant Circle as well as the fine arts. Noble Ithiladari are taught the ways of the high courts of their allied kingdoms.

Infrastructure

Most villages within the kingdom are built, or rather grown into the canopies of the massive amberwood trees that make up the Mistwood forest. This offers a natural defence to it's people as the wardens can simply pick of enemy invaders with their arrows from above. Border towers are placed at the edge of the forest in a similar fashion where the wardens are able to intercept any visitors into the kingdom.
