Hillshur

Verdan's more militarily focused neighbors, Hillshur is situated at the base of Niatnuom. Mostly consisting of ex-soldiers, mercenaries and their families the inhabitants of Hillshur have established a strong trade relationship with Verdan to survive. As a young settlement themselves, Hillshur trades their advanced weaponry and manpower in exchange for food and livestock. Although both settlements have agreed to forego the use of currency for the time being, more frugal minded members of Hillshur believe proper payment for services should be established.

Government

Hillshur is governed by a small council that determines how their settlement will progress. In theory every member of the council serves on the council for a year before an election is held to determine if there should be new council members. As Hillshur is still in its infancy however, those who serve on the council rarely change from year to year as the citizens of Hillshur find no reason to switch out their leaders.

Defences

Hillshur is defended by a manned wall that surrounds their settlement with guard rotations ensuring there is peace both inside and outside of their home. Furthermore the settlers of Hillshur brought with them advanced weaponry and tactics that give them an edge against all threats.
