Longhouse

Situated firmly in the center of Hillshur, the Longhouse serves as the seat of the Hillshur council where all meetings and discussions are held. Unless there are active discussions being had or problems unable to be solved without the aid of the council the building stays mostly deserted on an average day as the settlers of Hillshur work hard to build up their new settlement.

Purpose / Function

To provide a space for the people of Hillshur to hold meetings with the council as well as make important decisions for the future of Hillshur, hold votes, and deal with any grievances that may arrive among the populace.

History

Settled mostly by ex-soldiers, mercenaries and their families, the people of Hillshur desired strong leadership during the infancy of their settlement while also ensuring that the many different groups settling on the frontier had their needs met. This led to the creation of a council elected by the power and along with it a building to serve as the seat of that council.
