Personal history
Sindri once lived in the foothills of the mountains with his family. They were part of a small village, mostly made up of gnomes, halflings, and dwarves. However, eventually a dragon grew angry or possibly just bored and burned the village to the ground. While most of the villagers, including Sindri's family survived, their homes were destroyed. Sindri and his family moved down to Arrapha, and eventually, further north, where people were more welcoming, and their proficiency with repairing broken machinery more in demand. One day, Sindri's interest in politics found him allied with the Hoondarrh family. In exchange for some explanations regarding the traditions and lifestyles of his village, he became something of a member of the Hoondarrh family, or he was at least enough of a member to be trusted to rule Atvu. They also apparently believed his gnomish blood would make him privy to where the salt could be found. Sindri left his family to continue traveling along the Tanin Nahr, repairing grindstones and mills as they went. He has watched over Atvu for over a century now.

Motivation
Sindri wants to watch over his villagers. He also doesn't want the dragons, and thus the nobles, to get mad, for he fears the burning rage they could unleash.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Sindri is particularly competent at determining the quality of salt in the pits. He also manages to find some pleasure in doing the administrative paperwork being hatta requires.
Virtues & Personality perks
Sindri cares about the people and feels a connection to them. The hatta believes in following the law and properly paying tribute to the dragons. He worhsips Garyx.
