Fervere

Urere, Incendere In Tenebris or Burn, Burn Against the Dark is the perfect moto for the Nation of Fervere, which has survived centuries upon centuries of war and terror brought on by the Miryegan Empire. This land of orcs, firbolgs, and goblins has prospered since the end of the Fourth Rodsger War, turning out numerous sailors, architects, and scholars.

One of the largest countries in the world, Fervere has an incredibly rich history of people wanting all that land and those resources. Despite half the land being literally swamps, jungles, and mountains, and despite the constant threat and reality of war, the Ferv had done well for themselves for centuries. After the Rødsger War IV ended in the revolutionary reformation of their closest enemy and neighbour, Miryegu, the Ferv did even better for themselves, finally able to share their scientific and arcane discoveries with the world. Notable for the construction of ships and buildings, these people are known for building some of the tallest and hardiest structures in the world.

War, War, and More War

Main article: to be added Beginning as a collection of states, the Ferv were pushed from diplomatic relations and intrastate scuffles to unity upon the first attacks from the neighboruing Miryegu. What would be known as a series of wars would be both a curse and a blessing, uniting the nation as the world knows it today. Minor battles and wars played out during the beginning phases of the Fervo-Miryegan relationship but the first big battle would result in catastrophe for the Mireygu side. Instead of encountering the less scientfically developed Ferv peoples, the Miryegan army would find the ground below them shaking as new mountains rose from the ground. The Gärdsgrinds appeared at the perfect moment, stopping the first of the great wars in its tracks or, at least, making one side fight a mountain to get to the other.
