Dunblain Enclave

The original homeland of the dwarfs is the central land that is currently occupied by the Drakken Empire. The old dwarven kingdoms built their cities underground to avoid the attacks of wild wyverns. Orcs tried to settle in the region, but they had little way to fight the wyverns. One day the orcs started to somehow take control of the younger wyverns and force the elder wyverns to flee to the north. At first the dwarven kingdoms were happy to see the wyverns threat removed, but soon the Orcs formed the Drakken empire and used their new might to hunt the dwarves, forcing them either deep underground or out. During this mass exodus the dwarves that fled settled in Dunblain. Dunblain is an inhospitable mountain chain inside the Rhyis Hegemony, who agreed to let the dwarves settle there as it was home to one of the oldest and most powerful wyvern Drelgar, even the Drakken empire did not dare to provoke this wyvern. The Dunblain dwarfs lived in the shadow of Drelgar, building deep to stay hidden. Despite their efforts Drelgar would still wipe out villages on a whim. One day a great dwarven hero came forth to face the wyvern. The hero wielded a strange form of magic that made him seemingly indestructible. After a titanic battle the hero slew Drelgar, but he himself died from the overuse of his power. They say that the spirit of the hero still looks out over Dunblain, as the children born after his death have started to show similar powers.   The Dunblain Enclave refuses to enter talks with anyone, except for the Rhyis as they were the only ones to provide protection and support on the Dwarven exodus from their homeland.  Since fleeing to this new homeland they have become extremly insular, and refuse to talk to anyone.   They allow trade with the Rhyis, though even that is extremly limited, only having 1 dwarf that stands at the trading station, for 1 year, and then he is switched out for another.  The choosing ceremony is a tradition that is very much looked forward to by the younger dwarves, there is a great celebration each year for the new dwarf that is chosen.
