We're gonna need a bigger wall

I am not sure everyone has really processed exactly what happened yet. Stockman asked us to visit him in the city when suddenly this earthquake hit and a giant claw came out of the ground. It wasn't just a claw. It was the greatest monster I had ever heard of. It was taller than the White Wall of Artoria. Stockman asked us to help save as man citizens as possible. I lost track of him right after that, but we did our best.
Some of our efforts were ... most successful than others... le sigh.
Some of the highlights I noticed where Nikki playing, Konom defending and throwing people down a slide that I don't even know where it came from, but it got people underground and out of harms way. So many people were so stunned and scared to move, I tried to send them towards the temples. Vasiliy helped herd people towards safety. Lorelei... well... you'd think it would be difficult to scare people when such a giant beast was attacking the city, but she did it! Somehow, she turned into a giant ape and .. that was so great!
But I didn't know that the city had it's own group of heroes. Had... being the operating word... They were amazing. Magnifique! So courageous and brilliant! The charged in over our heads and it was incroyable!
But they... died.. one by one.. the beast got a hold of them and ATE THEM! The beast ate The Legion! Every single but one... the last one.. a woman.. she flew in the sky and realized the futility as each of her friends fell... she cast magic I had never seen. A powerful beam as bright as the sun. We could hear her scream on the group as she herself lit up and killed the monster.
I wish I could know who they were. How could I have never heard of them before? Such courage should be remembered...
The destruction was quite terrible, but thankfully contained towards the gate. Most of the city was spared of the worst, but so many people were already hurt. We helped those that we could and it was quiet for a few weeks, I was pretty busy at the temple.
Amazing news though. Stockman was trying to warn the city about these earthquakes and even though he wasn't taken very seriously at first, finally the emperror recognized his efforts. He was invited to become the Emperrors adviser! I am so proud of our new friend. He asked us for assistance so we got to go to the Imperial Institute for the Arcane - which I don't think I could have ever gotten into before on my own. But now I know the keeper there! He is wonderful! and really big... his name is Tyrannis Rexintrom and he is VERY interesting...
We visited a wondrous shop where we met monsieur Peterman. He is a delightful short person who knows SO MANY people! Sweet Vasilliy got me a wondrous game and i got an incredible scroll. I have so many ideas.
THEN we visited the Amphitheater of Aspirants. Vasilliy really wanted to enter the contest with me. I am quite nervous. He is so amazing but I am not really a fighter. He is so big. I am so small. We make a pretty good team but he is so much faster and skilled with his fists and horns.
Well the recruiter was very nice to meet and it just so happens that almost everyone else signed up because the contest is for martial fighters and it should be fun so I am looking forward to it! I hope I don't slow 'silliy down!
Well. After the giant moster attack things have quieted down a bit and Stockman asked us to pay a visit to a commune on behalf of his brother in law, Leon aka Harmony. Serenity Springs is in the city and our contact is Lyric Spiritstep so... this should be interesting!
