High Elves

The Hyllia, also referred to as High Elves, are sometimes referred to as the most elegant of the intelligent races, their soft, lean faces show an image of prideful melancholy. High Elves originate from the region of Hyllena, but many have travelled and settled in far-off cities. Their keen intelligence and magical affinity make them excellent politicians and advisors. Some form of council rules most High Elven societies, sometimes democratically elected, sometimes aristocratically.
High Elves are one of the taller humanoid races in Veleria, some of the shortest standing around 5ft and the tallest at 7ft. They share skin pigmentation colours with humans. 
The Hyllia have long been the dominant race in the Hyllena region and are the ruling class of most of the major settlements.
