The party bought Brutus from the Ox Herder Gil in Regensthall. After Thurdon beat Gil's son, Bert, in an Ox Race, Gil reduce the price of sale to 20 gold pieces.
Brutus has accompanied the party since Regensthall. 
In the village of Alendar, Thurdon won a race against the village's young Alderman, Kalen, riding Brutus.
In the city of Liris, Thurdon commisioned the Mage's Guild to craft a whistle that would allow him to summon Brutus.
