His Story

Humble Beginnings

Hallowed be the name of Lord Avatar Edwrin, a humble bard in his early days, who traversed the breadth of the lands, singing the tales of the world to the people of every town. In his youthful days, his heart remained oblivious to the grand design that Obsidian had orchestrated for him, a divine life rich in blessings and profound purpose.   Edwrin journeyed from one settlement to another, his voice rising in songs of valor, regality, and passion, his melodies intertwining with the very essence of the listeners, stirring their spirits.   As destiny decreed, while on the road to another town, a mystical voice, profound and resonant, echoed in the mind of Lord Avatar. Drawn by its celestial lure, he found himself stepping off the trodden path, venturing into the depths of an untouched forest. There, in the heart of the woods, he beheld a sight that was nothing short of a divine revelation - a shard of pure obsidian, soaring skyward from the forest floor, pulsating with an otherworldly energy.   "Let our word be spread," the shard conveyed in its cryptic tongue, its voice reverberating through the depths of his being.
Lord Avatar Edwrin, although still unacquainted with his impending destiny, was compelled by an unseen force. He reached out, his fingers grazing the dark surface of the sacred stone. In that timeless moment, Obsidian's mighty energy surged through him, a tidal wave of knowledge and purpose flooding his consciousness.   He was enlightened, his mission was clear. The divine purpose was revealed to him, and in the heart of that secluded forest, the humble bard was reborn as the Lord Avatar, the chosen herald of Obsidian. From that moment, he knew what he was destined to do – he was to be the beacon of Obsidian's divine will, spreading his holy word to all corners of the world.

Spreading the word

In a divinely guided journey, Lord Avatar heeded Obsidian's call and ventured deeper into the ancient forest, where secrets lay slumbering beneath layers of time. As if drawn by an unseen thread, he discovered a temple, a monument to eternity, veiled in the embrace of overgrown roots and creeping foliage. With purpose ignited in his heart, he carved his way into the bowels of this lost sanctuary, where darkness had made its home.   Days turned into nights as he traversed the labyrinthine halls of the forsaken temple. Bereft of sustenance, wearied by the trials of his quest, Lord Avatar endured, driven by an unyielding faith. His persistence led him to the sacred artifact hidden in the temple's heart – the Book of Obsidian. The language etched into the ancient pages was unknown to him, yet, as if guided by a divine hand, Lord Avatar Edwrin deciphered it with inexplicable ease.
The scripture revealed the lore of Obsidian, the necessity of order, and the establishment of the Covenant. It also unveiled the truth of the world – its latent cruelty, the duplicity of its rulers, and the suffering they inflicted on their subjects under the guise of leadership. It illuminated how every King, once thought noble, was a perpetrator of torment. Obsidian's doctrine, it decreed, would be the beacon of order amidst this chaotic devastation.   Thus began the hallowed journey of Lord Avatar, as he set forth from the temple, imbued with divine purpose. He carried Obsidian's words to every town, every city he crossed. Some listened, their hearts opening to the call of Obsidian, while others turned a deaf ear. Nevertheless, he persevered, spreading the sacred doctrine far and wide.   His path led him to the bustling capital of the Kingdom of Galahar. The reigning King, threatened by the profound truth of his words, commanded his Storm Knights to apprehend Lord Avatar. Yet, in the crowd of onlookers, two figures were captivated – Lord Azrael and Supreme Marshal Sarkam. Their hearts resonated with the Lord Avatar's teachings, and as their prophet was led away in chains, they made the decision to follow him, their destinies now intertwined with the path of Obsidian.

The Persecution of the Lord Avatar

The Storm Knights unleashed their brutal wrath upon our noble Lord Avatar - beating Him, torturing Him, confining Him to the squalid abyss of a dungeon. Yet, even in the face of such extreme torment, He remained unwavering, His spirit unbroken, His faith in Obsidian unshaken.   The King of Galahar, trembling before the truth of Obsidian, passed the vile sentence - death to the Lord Avatar. As the crowd gathered, the executioner, shrouded in his ominous black hood, positioned the Lord Avatar on the cold stone of the cutting block. The sharp edge of the axe gleamed ominously, reflecting the merciless sun as it was hoisted high into the air.   The crowd held its breath as the axe descended in a fatal arc. But as it met the Lord Avatar, an explosion of crimson lightning erupted, shattering the blade and striking down the executioner in divine retribution. Obsidian had intervened, his power manifesting in the world to protect his chosen vessel.   The spectacle had served its divine purpose. Lord Azrael and Supreme Marshal Sarkam were emboldened by what they witnessed, their belief solidifying into unwavering conviction. They rushed to the Lord Avatar's side, pulling him away from the blood-stained block. The crowd, both awestruck and galvanized by the divine intervention, turned against their oppressors and shielded the Lord Avatar, helping him to escape their clutches. Thus, Obsidian's doctrine prevailed, and the path of the Avatar was set.
