Devlog - 11/29/2020: when a project turns curse

General Summary

What is a cursed project? Basically, any piece of work where no matter what you do things don't get done. The reason for this can range from grossly underestimating the scope of the project to not having the proper resources needed to complete it. This is what happens to Dogmonic Chapter 3.   Try as I might, what I wanted to bring to life became a chore to complete as I try to imagine scenes on a grossly slash budget thanks to hardware failure I suffer from earlier in the year and then my time and attention being turned upside down by both the world reopening with the covid restricted being lifted where I live and the hurricane that came crashing through following it.   Because of this, I have decided to put Dogmonic on hold. While chapter 3 will be released at some point I will not be frantically working on getting it out. Instead, I will be moving my attention to other projects that have been waiting in the wings.     Primarily Succession Crisis Which was voted on to be the next game   Succession Crisis's central plot is a murder mystery. The MC is Chuka Kismet who return home after a "Trip" with his squads mates. While attempting to enjoy his leave he meets his father Lorik Kendrick    But wait, you said this was a murder mystery. Where the murder or mystery? Well if you played Dogmonic you know that Lorik is dead in that. In fact, Dogmonic takes place in the middle of Succession Crisis with his death being the focus of this game, but before I kill him I want to try and endure him the audience   So when will it be out?   Good question. Right now there is a number of things I need to get done. Mainly the sets and redesign of two of the central character Chuka and Lorik, along with designing the principal cast. While working on both the through-line story and Alternative routes the player can take. Ultimately I will start releasing the game when what can be considered the third update is done.   In the meantime i will be working to release what is Current in Dogmonc as far as some bells and whistles i had added along with correction of grammar.   Signed Eros Primodial - Author
