Possibly born between the years of 0032 - 0036. His parentage is unknown. He is currently in his final undergraduate year at Vega Academy. He majors in Divination. He is sponsored by Lord Wynton of House Ryvenholt.

Personal history

Alatar was found as a young child by a Witch of the Ways. Known to Alatar as Amira. She was his second mother but the only one he can remember. While under her care she trained him to see all kinds of signs and omens to follow the threads of Fate. Eventually the Witch was caught looting dead soldiers by a wizard in one of the Noble armies and then tortured as a spy and hung. Altar then survived for some time alone until he was found by Mr. Locke. The former soldier became Alatar's second father but the only one he could remember. Mr. Locke took care of Alatar the best he could. Alatar become Professor Locke's young wizard apprentice. However, the scars of war were too much. Professor Locke left Vega and took him and Alatar to the Sewers where he took control of the Viper Gang. Eventually, Mr. Locke was killed and the Viper gang with him. Alatar was found in Professor Locke's old office holding drenched in sewage and blood and holding a medal of honor Mr. Locke earned in a war. Word of this reached the ears of the man who was saved by Mr. Locke, Lord Wynton of House Ryvenholt. Alatar was made a ward to House Ryvenholt. Then was given an option to attend Vega Academy or train at The Roost (House Ryvenholt's keep and home) Alatar had perhaps the best time of his life at Vega. So, he chose to stay.
