The seals under Deepstones finally failed, decades after the citadel was long abandoned. From the gates of Deepstone Demons began to pour out in droves in short bursts. Portals to different parts of the Abyss being opened and closed at random intervals.

The ebb and flow of demons from Deepstone made life in the northern parts of Anglonia very difficult. The elves and dwarves that called the area home began confining themselves to there cities and citadels to avoid the problem of the demons. Any demons attempting to assail the cities were put down easily in defensive actions.
