Fae Temp Name
The Fae are an oft-times terrifying race that many try to understand and work through their inherent fear of. This is not brought on by the culture, mannerisms, history, or any such thing to do with the race but rather the race on a fundamental level.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Fae generally appear humanoid though they are almost blurry around the edges. They are also easily noted in their natural state, for their smooth featureless faces and long clawed hands.
Ecology and Habitats
Fae are blieved to be denizens of the void that spilled through a tare in ancient times and decided to make Vasea home. Nothing is truly understood of their original home as they only people to go there are Voidwalkers.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Fae can consume their body weight in fruits and sweets a day, they also consume large amounts of meat. They do not seem to consume much in the way of vegetables however.

Social Structure
It is unknown if the Fae have a real social structure of their own or if they simply are imitating what they see and like in others. Either way they as a society tend to choose leaders that are charismatic to other peoples. This is in part to lessen the fear they are often met with due to their uncanny appearance and strange tendency to 'become' the people they are talking to. Their social hierarchy seems mostly based on magical skill and charisma.
Facial characteristics
On their own they have none, but when they borrow the form of another they are perfectly alike at first glance. However further inspection will show the Fae to appear slightly fuzzy and distorted.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
While they don't live in the forest of Niafothra itself they have taken up residence and power in the surrounding area. They do travel but not often.
Average Intelligence
The Fae are nontraditionally brilliant. While they still don't grasp many concepts of daily life on Vasea they are wonderful tacticians and powerful mages and tricksters.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Due to the lack of features such as mouth, nose, eyes, and ears, their senses are emulated through magic means instead. This leads to average to mediocre senses due to needing to emulate them all at once.
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
The Fae tend to choose random names from other cultures and races that they like. This is primarily because they had no use for such a concept while still living in the void.
Major Organizations
They tend to emulate every organization they come across regardless of need. This is an offshoot of their need to fit in with other races and to try and reach a level of 'normalcy'.
Gender Ideals
There is a very blurred line when it comes to gender ideals among the Fae. This is because they lack the understanding of the concept to really develop such. It is also unknown if they have gender as other races traditionally understand it.
Average Technological Level
They are collectors of all things technological, finding them fascinating and useful even if they have no actual need for them. They are not innovators in themselves but consumers of the highest level.
Common Etiquette Rules
The only real etiquette that they observe is that they will turn into their discussion partner if the conversation lasts longer than ten minutes, this is due to them trying to show their respect and enjoyment of the discussion.
Common Dress Code
Bright garish colors are the central standard of Fae dress. They love anything that is bright and eye catching. As for style there is no real standard, they mix the cuts and styles of those across the empire.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
Culture to them is sort of a mixing ground for everything they find beautiful or interesting. As such it has become a large ever changing feature of their society that mirrors all those with whom they have close relations. They do put an emphasis on the arts.
Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
To the Fae imitation is a form of flattery, as such they often take the form of those they respect or even are just speaking to. They also commonly borrow traditions from others integrating that into their own customs.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
The Fae are met with fear more often than not because their appearance and well meaning habits are unsettling to others. There is also the fear of the void that follows them, after all everyone fears that which lurks in the void. Despite this many seek them out do to the unique beauty of their crafts.

Average Physique
Rail thin and waif like in general physique they make for a terrifying visage when not expected. This is at least until they assume the form of another, in which only their hollow eyes and the slight blur around is the only difference to the real person.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
They bare no outward markings or color, in fact it is hard to perceive them as much of anything due to their origins in the void, where such concepts of color and even shape do not exist.
