Junction Fleet: Led by Aina Aerlong, inventor of the gravity barges, the Junction Fleet is responsible and manages travel between branches and the trunk.
Knights Errant: Dating back all the way to the progenitor species, this guild has been revived with the resurgence of the Gridel. Their mission is to protect humanity from monster incursions, specifically from the Gridel.
Rot Cults: Splintered cults that see allying with the Gridel as the best way to attain their goals.

History

Descendants of three of the four progenitor species, though all have can call True Humans their common ancestor. For many centuries after the Severing, the races of humanity developed separately until the invention of gravity barges to cross the junctions. Now they all must struggle not only against the dangers of the trunk and cultural clash, but also a resurgence of the Gridel, an ancient enemy of all life and Vasahldey as a whole.
