Causes
The true cause is uncertain, but it's believed that the energy used in the victims creation was unstable. This is thought to lead to inefficiency, allowing the core to make mistakes or send incomplete information to the rest of the body.
Symptoms
Pigments in coat and hair display mottling, pattern discoloration, or extreme fading at a young age. The victim is often magically and physically weaker than other members of it's species.
Prognosis
The illness often leads to a shortened lifespan as well as stunted growth.
The individual well apper as normal when very young, the discoloration appearing as it starts to grow. Coloring will become splotchy and fade early in the individuals life. Muscles will begin to whane early on as well.
Cultural Reception
The unique colorations can be considered very beautiful.
