The Wound

The Wound is a vast canyon that covers over 100 miles of the continent of Septrion. Several beasts and monsters make their home in the Wound, and it is said that the Aspect of the Brass Dragonflight resides in the deepest part of the canyon, though this is debated amongst Dragonologists. Several small trading settlements and hunting lodges have been set up on the edge of the canyon. Most famously, perhaps, is the city of Centrailia, situated (albeit precariously) hanging above the center of the canyon supported by various ropes and supports latched to the edge of the canyon walls.

The Wound According to Fortuna  Legend

"The Celestial War had been waging for what seemed like eons. Grand armies of men and constructs crashed against each other like tidal waves, while demigods as tall as hills and as strong as diamond laid thundering blows against one another overhead. Larger still, the great titans Vincorious and Theodosius, whose mere shadows dwarfed the largest of mountains did battle with one another.   Blow for blow, the brothers clashed with one another. With each footstep, thousands were crushed under their colossal weight. Theodosius and his brood were laying siege to the Great Spawn, the very place from which Vincorious had brought forth Theodosius, and where the two of them had brought forth the rest of creation. It was a great source of power, and it kept alive one of VIncorious’s last automaton foundries.   The armies of both sides squared up. Battle hardened warriors stood as battle-brothers with the very demigods they offered sacrifice to. Above the clouds, the puny armies were nothing more to ants to the Titans, whose only focus was upon each other. With a bellowing roar that cracked the land, Vincorious sallied forth from the Spawn. His daughter, Fortuna, swung her blade, cleaving hundreds of men in a single swipe. Trees were uprooted from the clashing of demigod steel, water was boiled by the rage seeping out of their pours."    The mortals of each army were as fierce as their celestial counterparts. Spears, swords, rocks, or severed limbs, the item did not matter. All could be used as a weapon to silence the enemy. The battle lines were stretched out for miles. The blood was soaked in blood, sweat and piss. Men cowered behind walls built of the fallen.   As the battle raged, Vincorious steadied himself, and with a sweep of his sword faster than lightning, he struck across The Builder’s chest. The slice of the blade cut across creation itself, and to his very day, beside the Spawn, the wound that Vincorious left in the earth remains as a scarred memory of the Celestial War, and the time before the Great Collapse."
