Episode 37 - Kubazan's Shrine

General Summary

The party awoke with 1 escaped Yuan-ti who had been affectionately called "Charlie". Whilst the party investigated his escape, 4 Yuan-ti approached the front of the cave. Darting outside, the party got the drop on the Yuan-ti guards and battle commenced. Once all were killed Atl had his Giant Toads consume the evidence. [4 scimitars and 4 longbows] With the help of Orvex, the party headed to Kubazan's shrine to find a pool of murky muddy water. Kash spotted the eye stalks of something beneath the water. Eurell threw food at it, disturbing the water, and releasing the attack from the Froghemoth. Eurell was swallowed whole as the party frantically attacked from all angles. The Allosauraus was taken down, Eurell went unconscious, Alfonse was rendered useless, and Orvex almost died. Kash flew up and rained down damage turning the pool red. With a little advice from Volo, the party reorganised and the Froghemoth was killed. Atl turned into a giant octopus to investigate the water and find the key within the mouth of the frog statue. Orvex translated the inscription above the door which said "Kubazan urges us to tread without fear and to give back as much as we take." Kash found a trapped door but bypassed it with the key.
