Pressure

Trapping rabbits with bait and a crafted trap is old news. Takes too long. Instead, learn this spell and you can catch multiple rabbits at once just by looking at them (and casting the spell of course)! Or, you know, use this to prevent your enemies from running away. Or to squish down a chunk of metal into a smaller, easier to carry chunk. I'm sure you can find more creative uses for this spell.

Effect

Pressure is the opposite of the spell abate force. It intensifies gravity over the targeted area and can be used to ground something light in extreme winds so it doesn't fly away. (A decent defense against galeforce). Or it can be used to temporarily sink something to the bottom of the ocean... No, not to drown people, you morbid evildoers. I mean... unless you really want to. Have at it. At an expert level, this spell can be used to crush rock... or bone.

Side/Secondary Effects

Failing this spell can result in grievous injuries to both the caster and those in the near vicinity. Putting too much power into the spell can suffocate those under its power or break their bones. Not enough power, and the target will only feel slight resistance to their movements (like trying to walk against the wind).

Manifestation

Only the intense gravitational pressure that comes from this spell indicates that it's been cast. The area of effect is invisible to the naked eye.

Applied Restriction
If the caster can't concentrate, they can't cast the spell. Alternatively, it doesn't work on illusions or objects affected by other gravitational spells. The best way to nullify this spell is to use another abjurationist. If the caster is caught in an enchantment, the world they see is manifested by whomever put them under the enchantment. No matter how close the image the abjurationist sees is to the world around them, they can't cast this spell or any other spell that affects physical objects around them. This is both a blessing and a curse, as it informs the sage under the enchantment that something is wrong, but also doesn't allow them to use their magic to free themselves.
