Gecenin

The Gecenin Family is not a family of blood-relations but Blood Relations. It began with Aysun, a Turkish woman who, through rape and wanton behavior was deemed unfit to marry three centuries back. She escaped and lived by her wits for a while, becoming first a revenant and then being uplifted to the Mekhet by her Mother, who gifted her the bloodline of the Qedeshah. Aysun had many Dhampir children, denying herself the daysleep for lengths of time, secluding herself in caves and basements to escape the daylight. Aysun died under the knife in childbirth many times, always using the Blush of Life, and woke as night fell and her Blood restored her. Her children were raised by her in her travels, and she married many times - inheriting just a little more wealth each time. That wealth eventually brought her to New York and then to Chicago. Unfortunately, she died in the Chicago Fire, though her Childe in Detroit lived on. The modern Gecenin family has one Elder in New York in Torpor, an Ancilla in Detroit in Torpor, an adopted Ancilla in San Francisco, and Wendy, an adopted Ancilla in Chicago.
