Silvarra

Silvarra is the given name of the elves that initially hail from the forests and tundra of northern Mor'tora.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

The Silvarra believe in natural beauty and scoff at the paints that many of the Besurn applied to their skin to modify their appearance. They believe a person should accept their natural body, flaws and all, and are not critical of anyone's natural appearance, regardless of traits that would by most cultures be considered ugly. They see wrinkles as a sign of wisdom, scars a sign of experience or courage, as a whole, they view the body as a tapestry that tells of what a person has been through, and trying to change this tapestry as an affront to nature.

Gender Ideals

These days, the Silvarra have little in the way of gender roles. They believe that everyone has a purpose in life and that limiting a person's options could prevent a person's ability to fulfill that goal.

Relationship Ideals

Due to their belief that everyone has an individual purpose, the primary ideal for a relationship is one that allows all involved to remain independent. In a relationship, each person is simply choosing to allow someone to share in their life experiences, and no one should try to limit their friends or partners from reaching their full potential.
