Valur is a realm of high fantasy and high stakes. Magic, while powerful and present, is rare in the current age. It has not stopped forces, both just and unjust alike, from seeking it out for their own purposes, for better or worse.
It is the Age of Prosperity, as the scholars of Awenmont have called it, a time when anything is possible. Cultures that have long been in opposition, mingle during the tense peacetime. Awenmont has calmed their aggressive nature, ceasing their imperialistic expansion to honor the truce. With an upcoming election of a new Witness for their Empire, many sense the tides changing and fear that war will once again devour the continent. the Kingdom of Seldor, in preparation, has made an alliance with the dwarven factions that are scattered amid the Giant's Grasp, more ready than before should the truce be broken.
But dark machinations lurk beneath the surface. A religious sect, loyal to the old gods, to Sur'iamar'as, works to rebuild the former empire from its ashes. Will it give the nations a common enemy, or will they manage to separate and divide the peoples of Mor'Tora?
