Qunid is the old capital city of Galag Rok. It was founded by the first dragon king along the Boiling River. It's divided into ten districts. The center of the city is surrounded by walls, and it's closely guarded. Mostly only dragonfolk are allowed through. Anyone else needs a pass which is sponsored by a dragonfolk to be able to enter. The highest point in the city is Dragonhold Castle which is large enough to house a dragon in the throne room. Because of this restriction, the most lively areas of trade are outside of the city walls along the river. It's governed by a council of ten commissioners who are elected by the citizens. However, only draconids excluding kobolds are allowed to be citizens in Qunid, and commissioners don't need to be residents of the district they are meant to represent. The only surprising restriction is that dragon lords can't run for city commissioner. The city is the seat of power of the country, and for new dragon lords, it's the first place they must return to in order to present themselves and their dragon in front of the dragon king. It's one of the few cities in the country that can comfortably house dragons. At the end of the Third Dragon War, the city was mostly burned and is now a husk of its original self. The walls are mostly in ruins, and Dragonhold Castle is empty. What remains of the city is largely rebuilt outside of the walls. It was chosen due to its proximity to the water and also the rolling pastures outside of the city that help sustain the population. Food is still heavily imported, but the diet of dragons means that the city can comfortably only house one or two at a time. The dragon lords who live in the city keep their dragons elsewhere. The soul bond allows them to stay connected even from vast distances apart.
