Honey Buns are a popular summer treat in Crkvu. They are light and fluffy and buttery with blue honey drizzled over them. Bakers will often cut fancy designs in the top of the buns, and some will create rolls with honey layered inside. There are many different recipes, but they all feature a unique blue honey. In other parts of the world, the recipe is replicated with other varieties of honey, but they are often less sweet and smooth. Sometimes, crystalized honey is crumbled over the bun to give it a new crunchy texture.
