The shortest war lasted for 47 days and was between the rat clans Frostwhisker and Bloodclaw. The two clans used to be allies, and the queen of the Bloodclaws is the younger sister of the late Frostwhisker queen. That all changed when a Bloodclaw pup went missing and was later found to have drowned. The only witness was the Frostwhisker pupminder who claimed that it was a tragic accident. However, the Bloodclaws didn't believe her and declared the death to be a kin killing. Thus, since the Frostwhiskers didn't hand over the accused, they declared war and invaded Frostwhisker territory. The Frostwhiskers repulsed the attack and eventually moved to the offensive. They invaded Bloodclaw territory and ransacked the home den. Utterly defeated, the Bloodclaws attempted to fight on, but soon surrendered. Due to their shared past, the Bloodclaws were allowed to lick their wounds and recover. However, tensions never really faded until after the queen died of grief.
