City of Valencia

Founded in 99 ED, the people of the City of Valencia originally founded it as a small town that quickly rose to become a powerful city state and regional power. Today, the City of Valencia is at the heart of the Kingdom of Valencia and is where all of the greatest advances on the Continent of Kesic can be found. The city itself lies on the edge of the Valonan lake, which is located in the plains of Valon. The lake combined with local farming provide the city with a good trading economy, due to a natural port, and plenty of food from local farms and the lake. The ruler of the City of Valencia was historically a local elder or warrior, but as the Kingdom of Valencia grew it became the King. The City of Valencia is the place where the king can most freely exercise his power without the oversight of the parliament.

Geography

On the Western portion of the city lies the Valonan Lake, which provides the city with a great natural port. Bordering the North, East, and West of the city are the plains of Valon.
