Born in to a low class family, Tenzin Lurong never had the best life. Do to his low class status he was often picked on as a child though he never once complained. Tenzin was highly grateful with the life his parents tries to give. He treated everyone with as much kindness as possible viewing hostility and violence as the wrong path in life. Over time the kids who picked on him slowly became friends through those acts of kindness whether it helping their injuries, comforting them when they're depressed or giving them some of his food when Tenzin already had so little. Around the age of 8, after the death of his father due to a sickness, Tenzin awoke from a deep sleep to find strange light radiating from his chest where his heart would be. A magic circle appeared on his skin and had not the faintest of idea why it came to be.
Suyin, Tenzins mother, explained to him that long certain family lineages would have similar symbols appear on their chests. She goes on to tell him that their family was one of them but haven't produced a descendant with pure enough heart to receive it and that their family's mark was for healing. Tenzin would then spend his years using his gift solely for the sake of others and rarely for himself. It didn't take long for word of his abilities to spread as travelers came far and wide to receive his help.
Tenzin never denied a helping hand even to those who didn't deserve help. Money wasn't an issue at this point as he was paid by those who came to him. He gave half of his proceeds to help his mother and gave what ever he could spare to people around his village. Tenzin, wanting to expand his reach decided it was time for to venture into the world. With a promise to send money back to his mother when he could, Tenzin said goodbye to Suyin and his friends.
