Ke’eeth Mak is a Githyanki General whose loyalty to his people is matched only by his pragmatism. He did not come to Valoria for glory, but out of a cold, calculated necessity to thwart the Grand Design of the Illithid. While he carries the regal bearing of a planar commander, his recent experiences have left him haggard—a man fighting a war on two fronts: one against the Mind Flayers, and another against the ghosts of his own kind.

To Ke’eeth, the Fatebound were a means to an end. He viewed their sense of heroism as a tool to unlock the treasure hidden inDolendai. When he gripped the ancient Elven circlet—a crown of shimmering moonstone—he didn’t see a treasure, but a shield against the psychic static of the Elder Brain.

The Jawbone Hills Massacre

The Fatebound found him not as a conqueror, but as a mourner. Kneeling amidst the grey dust of the Jawbone Hills, Ke’eeth was surrounded by the hollowed-out husks of his vanguard. The circlet on his brow pulsed with a faint, defensive blue light, the only thing keeping the encroaching Mind Flayer whispers at bay.

His sister, Xy’ra, represents the Githyanki’s darkest impulses—a cycle of vengeance birthed from the Fatebound’s own ancestors. She has turned the creche into a fortress of hate, blinded by the blood of the past, making her the perfect, unwitting puppet for the Mind Flayers.
