Jawbone Hills

The Jawbone Hills are located south of the Crystal Peak Mountains and are wedged between the Crystal and Bluewater Rivers. No records from ancient Aloria concerning the name of this place could be found so the ever practical people of the North simply called them the Jawbone Hills based on what the area looked like on their maps. Some claim that the name comes from the fact that many monsters live in the hills and the bones of their prey litter the ground there. 
The hills are mineral rich and have been mined for centuries for the gold, silver, copper and iron that can be found there in abundance. The city-state of Garrison claims this land as their own and does what it can to protect the miners not only with their own military, but by hiring adventurers and mercenaries to deal with any threats that may arise.
