Public Agenda
Tallos' sole agenda and goal is to gain true independance from Wyntra. Though the strategy to ultimately attain this goal varies from organisation to organisation, the true intention is the same throughout. This is not a publicly hidden fact; most of Tallos' inhabitants are military (or will/have be military) and are attempting to reach the same result.
History
Tallos was once a Wyntran colony, a outreach of the original settlers. As Colmadin achieved independance, Tallos turned against Wyntra for the perceived notion that Wyntra had been planting explosives and poisons in their shipments. To their utmost shock, when Colmadin gained independence, Wyntra allowed Tallos theirs as well. However, this was not a truly fair plan. Tallos eagerly took the offer for a monetary amount, but the more ignorant and less experienced Tallos politicians and leaders were unaware of the fact that this would sentence them to a lifetime of toiling in the military, an in-vain attempt to pay off a growing debt.
Military
There is a significant military force in Tallos, known as the . However, this military is an extension of the Wyntra forces rather than a true Tallos militant force. Because of this, the state of Tallos itself has no control whatsoever over its military power. The military, rather than being entered via a draft, is strictly mandatory for all men between the ages of sixteen and thirty eight. For women, it is less common to be a soldier, but one could enter as a volunteer or a female draft. Also, all men over the age of thirty eight are highly encouraged to volunteer as well. Those with a preexisting condition are sent to a care facility where they will live out the rest of their days, and those who have outlived their military time must make do with their meager salary from their time served or from fractions of that of their children. Once a year, military get a month off to see their families, mainly utilised for conceiving offspring. Once every three years, that break is extended to three months.
Trade & Transport
Tallos and Wyntra are connected via an undersea tunnel, designed based upon the veins of Heart of Valoren, to transport military members back and forth as well as goods for regular survival in Tallos. Most times, there is a speed-tram operating along the tunnel, but occasionally a malfunction will force soldiers to physically make the trek using what little provisions they currently have to manually restart the tram.
