Lotus Enlightenment

Lost and unloved, I the angel of death will guild you to a new faith, love, and acceptance. Follow me, and I can save you, shelter you from the harshness that has bestowed upon your poor soul.
— Zibiah Drescher (Angel of Death)

Structure

Edom chooses the cult monarch, but the cult decides the title of the leader. There is a second in command
that is selected by the leader; known as the guide. Once the cult gets big enough, there will be more to the hierarchy is to ensure protection and survive.

Leader

It is the leader's job to bring in more cults, and travel around doing so. They are supposed to keep an eye
for anyone to sacrifice as well. Once a year, the leader returns to where ever the cult is located to make a sacrifice to Edom and then afterward fill out the paperwork of the progress and current standing of the cult. Once all of the paperwork has been completed, they are to set out once more.

The Guide

The guides are to lead the cult while the leader is away; most of the time, they are exempt from the rule of
the cult. If the leader dies, then the guides are to take the position of the leader until Edom selects a new leader. They are to report to the leader on what has happened in the cult and notifies the leader if anyone is causing trouble. If both the leader and guide are gone, then the leader will pick a member to take a temporary role as the guide.

Member

The members are supposed to sit in a circle with a single candle in the middle and pray to Edom, asking
for his blessing. Afterward, they are to do whatever they do in the morning and then figure out what group goes out hunting, what group prepares meals or goes out to earn money, and who goes and gets for members. At least one group is to stay at whatever building they are staying at

Assets

The cult moves from one abandoned building, ruins, or temples to another each week. They get enough gold, copper, and silver to last them a while. They have weapons that they got crafted, stolen, or given to them.

History

  • 1-1-300 is the beginning of the cult, created by Ty; an elf warlock bothered by Hedal, a bloodthirsty demon.
  • The year of 670 the worship meets the first death of their leader, unsure what to do, Hedal choose the next leader, Julia.
  • 1300 is the day Edom was born; the cult celebrated the birth of a prophet.
  • 1400 Hedal's wife was assassinated, and he went on a rampage, spilling blood.
  • the first of a new era, Hedal goes missing, the cult panics but was rejoiceful when Edom got into contact but refused to talk about the missing god.
  • The last sect of the cult still stands but gets murdered by Edom's daughter, Zibiah
  • Zibiah takes the lead to rebuild the cult

Tenets of Faith

  • Thou shall not kill another
  • Thou Shall comfort and love those in despair
  • All shall leave the head of a freshly hunted animal on thy door
  • All shall rejoice in the comforts of the savior
  • Heed the word the savior
  • punish those that oppose the divine for the divine is just
  • punish those that decline the mercy of their savior
Those who oppose shall meet a tortuous fate, Edom will know, Edom always knows.

Ethics

We are all working as one, so to kill a brother is to kill thy self. However, should an external force seek to oppose our savior, we must destroy then without remorse. For an act against our savior is a sin unmatched, it would be mercy to die then to live in sin. Our savior deserves nothing less then respect. For all respect given is rewarded with comfort and security. Bless the man in despair and we shall save them. Just as we honor our savior, we must honor our God with the head of a fresh beast for him to feast upon.

Worship

The cult leader takes either a willing or unwilling humanoid to give blood to their god of worship, using the ceremonial dagger. While the leader and a few other cultists are strapping down the sacrifice, the entire cult sings
