Fjelby

Fjelby is the city that is the farthest to the north. It is located atop one of the peaks in the Kulta Vuoret. It was attacked fairly often by the Dragonborn during the war over the Kulta Vuoret, but held thanks to support from Diajerme. Fjelby is the only city in Dakor that does not have a tunnel path leading directly to another city. There is a tunnel that leads to the bottom of the mountain to the south, for the transportation of goods and reinforcements. This was to prevent other cities being at risk if Fjelby fell.     Fjelby is made of Steel and Bronze, but is coated in concrete to protect the outer walls from Acid. It is called the ugliest city in all of Dakor. Many Dwarves are ashamed to have such a city be of Dwarven make. Those who helped build it have kept their identities hidden so they will not become outcasts. The wiser dwarves recognize that beauty had to be sacrificed for security in Fjelby, for if it falls the flow of gold could stop.   Fjelby is a large city, about 10 miles wide and 150 feet tall at the highest tower. The Dwarves here are all experienced warriors and few desire to return home where they will be ridiculed for their lack of artistic talent. Many have trained with crossbows and have begun to use them in earnest. This has caused the Dragonborn to slow their attacks while they try to modify their tactics to deal with the crossbows. Before the Dwarves had little effectiveness at range, which gave the Dragonborn an advantage for their Noi is very effective up close.   Their are some of the largest dwarven mines underneath Fjelby. Almost all of the gold mined for Dakor comes from the Fjelby mines. Other resources are mined as well, but the demand for gold in Dakor is insatiable. Due to the well built mines under Fjelby, the Dragonborn covet it greatly. The Dragonborn dislike digging out mines and prefer to use those made by the dwarves.
