Diajerme

Diajerme is the city farthest south that is above ground. It is on the southern side of the Kulta Vuoret and is the final defense protecting the Dwarven mines. It is ruled by Jorme Sorell, the current military leader of Dakor. He commands all forces fighting in the Kulta war. Diajerme is the only city above ground that displays art and affluence. Farther North there is too much fighting to risk harming the art pieces. Even in Diajerme there are few art pieces made of gold or silver. Most of it is lined with bronze, brass, and steel.     The city is built with high outer walls made of tempered stainless steel. The walls are designed to resist the Acid, fire, and ice Noi of the Dragonborn. The only Dragon Noi the Dwarves have not found a way to nullify in some way is the lightning breath. There only solution is to have the outer wall not connect to any other part of the city. Since Dwarven cities are made entirely of metal a lightning Noi would do massive harm to all inside it.   Inside the walls there is a 30 foot gap of Stone followed by the Bronze floors of the city. There are four spires at each corner of the inner square of the city. Each one has a staircase leading down to the mines. Two of these mines lead south to Konby, one houses a mushroom farm for the Dwarves of Diajerme, and the last one leads to the mines of Kulta Vuoret. This entrance to the mines is a heavily guarded secret for if the Dragonborn knew of its existence it would be an ideal invasion point of the city as well as Konby itself.   The central tower has a large funnel at the top to collect snow and melt it into water. Due to the constant snowing in the Kulta Vuoret this provides enough water for nearly half the population of Diajerme. There is also a connection to an underground river, but it comes from the north and some fear that it could be contaminated by the Dragonborn. There is a large forge in Diajerme to ensure that weapons, tools, and armor are never in short supply. Some of the metals taken from the Kulta mines were kept in Diajerme to supply the war effort. Many in Dakor complain that this metal is wasted, but few are very outspoken about it. There has been a push to have more dwarves take up using crossbow bolts in order to reduce the amount of metal used for weapons. Currently many utilize throwing axes or hammers.   The outer towers have had additions to make them taller to improve vision of attacking Dragonborn to allow for mare effective crossbow use. Many do not desire to stand on the walls even when wearing insulated boots are all that protect them from lightning. There have been occasions where they have failed. Thus the use of towers and the need for a more accurate projectile weapon.
