Eldrithic Calendar

This calendar was created by the Elves, having been used in their culture dating back to the oldest histories. The Logicmasters adopted it during the 3rd Epoch as it was determined to function ideally when compared to other existing calendars. Through the Logicmasters influence, this soon became the globally recognized calendar, and the rubric upon which all historic dates are now measured. This calendar is a Lunar calendar, basing itself upon the waxing and waning of the 3 moons, as well as the passing of the seasons.   A full lunar cycle of the Young Moon is one month, a full cycle of the Crystal Moon is one seasonal year, and a full cycle of the Elder Moon is one lunar year. Each lunar year consists of 4 seasonal years. Each seasonal year consists of 5 months: Lux, Minu, Nox, Ori, and Dilu. Each month consists of 5 weeks, and each week consists of 5 days: Youngsday, Twosday, Thirdsday, Fourthsday, and Elsday. A full year is 500 days, a seasonal year is 125 days, a month is 25 days, a week is 5 days, and a day is 25 hours long.   The seasonal years are represented by suffixes: Vehra (spring), Aeste (summer), Auth (autumn), Hieth (winter, pronounced "yee-th"). In formal recordings these seasonal suffixes are applied to each month in order to clarify which seasonal year the month takes place in, however in normal conversation the seasonal suffix is typically not used.
