Cellan

The Cellan culture is of middling age relative to other cultures, having formed its identity halfway through the 4th Epoch. Its origin traces back to the start of the 4th Epoch, where Cellan regions (like so many others at the time) were a battleground of aspiring nations that formed, fought, conquered, rebelled, and collapsed. Eventually the numerous nations of the region consolidated into 2 large nations, which remained in bitter rivalry. These rival nations were far more alike than different culturally, separated only by nationality and notions of loyalty. Between the two nations, the Cellan culture started to establish. In the later years of the 4th Epoch, the formation of the Chellesian Kingdom solidified the Cellan culture as a united people.   Cellans are comprised vastly of Humans, with Half-Elves and some few Elves as minority populations in the culture. Cellans tend to be ambitious, direct, and blunt. Their no-nonsense approach can be seen as either refreshingly honest, or tactlessly rude. Cellans greatly value practicality, and are the source of some of the worlds most skilled craftsmen and engineers. Cellans are known to be work horses, spending little time or coin on leisure. Cellans give little credence to scholarly and artistic endeavors, thinking it to be a waste of time that could be spent learning practical, industrious skills. If a weapon, furnishing, or building is high quality with absolutely no artistic flair, it was likely made by a Cellan. Cellans mostly occupy biomes ranging from tropical to moderately arid, and are well acclimated to the warm climates of southern Weilonde
