Brewer's Supplies

Experienced Intoxicant

When making a saving throw against the Poisoned or Intoxicated condition, you may gain advantage on the roll. After doing so, you cannot use this ability again until you've completed a Long Rest.

Aroma Analyst

Taking a whiff of any alcoholic beverage gives you a cultured assessment of their quality. In general your sense of smell regarding various drinks is especially fine tuned. This may allow you to detect poisonous or unwanted ingredients in a drink, so long as those ingredients aren't odorless or designed to hide their presence.

Brewing

Brewers either purchase or create their own specially enchanted mini-keg, colloquially called a Brewmaster. This keg, which has various tubes, dials, and gauges upon it, can magically accelerate the fermentation and aging process of beverages. You may spend 1 hour mixing a new beverage, which the Brewmaster can rapidly ferment over the course of 1 day into a drinkable alcoholic beverage. Creating a new brew costs 10 gp, and yields 10 uses. When creating a new brew, you must drain any of your remaining brew out of the Brewmaster (though you may store it in a Keg or Horn for later).   When creating a new beverage, you must choose a Base, Primary Ingredient, and Infusion from the tables below to determine the properties of your new brew. The Base determines the duration of the brew's beneficial effects, as well as the starting Alcohol By Volume (ABV). The Primary Ingredient determines how many temporary hit points the brew grants, and modifies the base ABV. Finally, the Infusion applies a unique effect, and a final modifier to the ABV that is determined by rolling the listed die. It's encouraged to be creative with new ingredients to use for the Infusion process, consulting with the DM to find new unique effects for each unique brew.   When crafting the brew, you can reduce the Infusion's ABV modifier by making a Intelligence or Wisdom (Brewer's Supplies) tool check, with the DC of the check equal to the Base ABV. On a success, you can reduce the Infusion's ABV modifier by 1, and a by an additional 1 point for every 2 points above the DC you achieved with your result.   The ABV, or Alcohol By Volume, is a measurement of the brew's alcohol percentage, which represents how likely a creature consuming the brew is to become intoxicated. The brew's final ABV value becomes its ABV Save DC. When a creature consumes your brew, they must make a Constitution Saving Throw against the brew's ABV Save DC. On a failure, the creature gains the Intoxicated condition for 10 minutes, imposing a -2 penalty on all ability checks, and -1 all attack rolls and saving throws made for the duration. If you gain the Intoxicated condition while already intoxicated, increase the duraction by an additional 10 minutes, and increase the penalty to ability checks additively. You gain the benefits of the brew (such as temporary hit points) even when you become Intoxicated. Effects that cure the Poisoned condition also cure the Intoxicated condition.   After you've made a new brew, be sure to give it your own patented name!
