Customized Kicks

You can spend a 1 hour customizing one creatures footwear, tailoring it for their physique, and granting the creature one of the following improvements for the next 24 hours, so long as they are wearing the footwear:
  • Improved Grip: When climbing, the first 5 ft. of climbing does not cost double movement. This allows you to vault over obstacles 5 ft. tall or less without expending additional movement as well. Gain advantage on ability checks and saving throws made to avoid falling prone due to a slippery surface.
  • Arch Support: Ability checks or saving throws made to resist exhaustion, or other ill effects from extended travel on foot, are made with advantage. Increase temporary hit point gain from the "Maintain Shoes" feature to 2.
  • Sprinter's Fit: You may increase your speed by 5 ft. until the end of your next turn. To regain use of this ability, you must benefit from the Cobbler's Tools "Maintain Shoes" ability.
  • Added Spring: You gain a "running start" for jumping by moving 5 ft. instead of 10 ft. Once during your turn, you may choose to increase the distance jumped by 5 ft. To regain use of this ability, you must benefit from the Cobbler's Tools "Maintain Shoes" ability.
  • Cushioning Soles: When rolling fall damage, roll 1 fewer die.
Any significant damage or especially bad wear to the shoes can render this upgrade voided, requiring reapplication. Only one upgrade at a time may be applied to a pair of footwear.    

Maintain Shoes

(Replaces existing functionality)
You may spend 10 minutes, typically at the start of each day, to maintain the footwear of up to six creatures. Doing so grants each of those creatures 1 temporary hit point, refreshes the duration on applied Customized Kicks for another 24 hours, and may refresh certain Customized Kicks functionalities. Temporary hit points gained this way can be added upon existing temporary hit points rather than replacing them
