Unforgiving Land 05/29/2023

Early in the morning, the players head on their way to the lake to look for Arabelle. 2 hours around the wall of Vallaki to see the Vast body of water, Lake Zarovich. It had murky water, muddy bank and a thick layer of fog to see the other side of the lake's bank. To the Eastern side they head. Keyeth is looking for the other bracelet Arabelle made for Luvash. His spell senses it and they begin to move. Traveling the mist, they break to a dirty road with a dock at the end of the one end, the other, an entrance to the Village.   They see a person rowing one of the boats with a fishing pole and a sack with something inside, thrashing hard with muffled screams. Aeon and Andros jump in a boat and paddle out the man. Evander jumps in the water with the help of the party to reach the man. Doran throws the sack in the water and Andros dive in to reach the girl. He brings her onto the boat but she is resting, scared. She stays quite but reassures them she is okay.   The party interrogate Doran. Only more people jaded by their scenario holding farfetched superstitions on ways to better their oppression. He hoped throwing a sacrifice in the lake would bring fish. Hopelessly, he leaves the party after they have saved his sacrifice.   The party is heading back to the Vistani camp. Arabella stays close to Meghan and tells them her father will reward them greatly, her reason for running was because she thought Alexei would chase her, before she knew it, she was wandering the woods.   Voices reassure the acts Guthrie and Aeon are driven by.   Once back to the Vistani camp, Luvash and Arrigal meet little Arabelle and reward the party with one good they have in their treasure wagon. They pick a Iron Chest with 650GP inside.   Andros and Keyeth try to get the hammer taken by the Vistani. Arrigal admits to stealing it to ensure the life if their master, Strahd. They leave without an altercation.   On their way to the windmill now. Aeon goes ahead in front telling them there is something he must do. Aeon goes to St. Andral's church and steals the bones of the Saint. He holds two skeletons on his horse.   The party meet with him on the other side of Vallaki, where they all see a band of angry Barovians on their way to storm Castle Ravenloft to kill the Devil Strahd. They let them go to their demise.   On their way to the Windmill, they encounter 8 wolves looking to eat. The party kills 2 and the others flee.   At the windmill, Guthrie and Evander climb the scaffolding as a precaution in case things go south. The others are in the bottom floor knocking on the door and speak to morgantha.   They stealth through the boarded window and find 2 children in 2 / 3 of the cages.   At the bottom floor, the party distract the Lady and her daughters. Morgantha lashes out at Aeon, transforming into their true form and they begin their fight.   The party narrowly escape with their lives. The children didn't make it.   Dretch fill the field.   The bones still in Aeon's possession.   Its dark now and a lightning storm starts. The Hag lands in front of them with her flying skull and lets them know they will NEVER be accepted in Vallaki again.   Her cackle fades as she flies into the mist, engulfed by the ominous storm.

COMBAT

LEVEL 4 Character
The party returning back to the Night Hag Coven.
The Players will attempt to come back to the Windmill. The Hags will be ready to sabotage the party on the way back. Strahd has informed them of their failure but also knows they are on the way back due to Aeon wanting to return the gesture. Though, the Hags have other plans for the party. They will notice the approach of the party using their scrying spell to know when they are close to the Windmill. The Hag Coven are hired to kill the party and their plan is to wait for the party to enter the valley outside the forest. There they will try to attack the party flying on their giant skulls, shooting Magic Missiles, ray of sickness and the dretch will make their way out of the hut to attack the party. The dretch will be mindlessly attacking while the Hags are looking to pick off the strong from up top.   The giant skulls have a AC of 12 and HP of 22. If the giant skull is broken, the Hag falls out of the sky and makes her way to the hut. The other Hags will retreat as well but will cast high level spells to evacuate the scene.   If a Hag dies, the other two retreat to make another coven. They don't interfere with the party any longer, Morgantha only wants the power of the coven.
