Creedence Clearwater
Creedence Clearwater is a college of lore bard who resides in Sullenwharf.
Creedence has a charming smile, quick wit, and a silver tongue. He has spent most of his life traveling from town to town, using his skills of deception and illusion to con people out of their money. Despite his less-than-honest profession, Creedence has a good heart and will only take from those he believes can afford to lose it. He has an affinity for music and is often seen playing his lute in taverns, singing ballads and weaving tales of adventure and romance to anyone who will listen. Despite his charlatan background, Creedence is well-liked and respected by many in Sullenwharf, where he has made a name for himself as a talented bard and storyteller.
Creedence's appearance, with his lute and flamboyant clothing, immediately captures the attention of those around him. His black chevron moustache, shaggy black hair with hints of grey, and flamboyant clothing add to his larger-than-life personality. His style is both bold and daring, showcasing his confidence as a charlatan and bard. He is always the center of attention, entertaining crowds with his music and wit.
Creedence grew up in a traveling circus, where he learned his skills as a performer and con artist. The name of the circus was "The Great Traveling Spectacle." He quickly became the star attraction, using his wit and charisma to charm crowds and pickpocket unsuspecting spectators. However, as he got older, Creedence grew tired of the circus life and yearned for more excitement and challenge. So, he left the circus and hit the road as a traveling bard, using his lute and songs to entertain and deceive people in taverns and inns across the land. Despite his reputation as a thief and a scoundrel, Creedence has a good heart and only takes from those who can afford it. He has a fondness for adventure and sees each town and city he visits as a new opportunity for excitement and adventure.
Creedence's best friend in the circus was a half-elf tightrope walker named Aria. They met when Creedence first joined the traveling troupe and quickly became close, performing together as part of a duo act. Aria was a natural performer and her grace and skill on the tightrope mesmerized audiences. Creedence often accompanied her with his lute, providing musical accompaniment for her death-defying acts. Over time, their friendship deepened and they became like family, relying on each other for support and companionship on the road.
She was known for her daring stunts and always had a smile on her face. One day during a performance, Aria fell from the tightrope and died on impact. This was a turning point for Creedence and he decided to leave the circus and start his life as a wandering bard, using his music to bring joy and comfort to people. Though he still thinks about Aria often, he continues to travel and play his lute, hoping to one day honor her memory through his songs.
Creedence has written ballads and odes to various heroes of his own creation. He is known for his storytelling ability, so these characters are often larger-than-life figures with incredible deeds and adventures, meant to inspire and enthrall his audience. Some of these heroes he has written about include "Sir Reginald the Brave," "Captain Cortez and the Cursed Treasure," and "The Black Pearl and the Band of Outlaws."

Some of his famous songs include:
The Sullenwharf Blues
The Wings of the Wanted Pirates
The Paladin's Oath
